     James William Hay Verner was born on 4 February 1919.2 He was the son of Guy William Hay Verner and Violet Charlotte Ansel.2 He married, firstly, Margaret Susan Robinson, daughter of Albert C. Robinson, on 14 February 1940.2 He and Margaret Susan Robinson were divorced in 1952.2 He married, secondly, Helen Cameron Kyle Milward, daughter of George Louis Shaen Milward, on 21 December 1957.2 He married, thirdly, Ann Margaret Wignall, daughter of Lt.-Col. Frederick Edwin Barton Wignall and Margaret Susan Ferguson, on 5 November 1968.1,2 He died in 1995.1
     James William Hay Verner fought in the Second World War.2 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the service of the 1st/6th Battalion, Essex Regiment.2 He lived in 1970 at Avishays House, Chard, Somerset, England.2
