     Nicola Frances Le Fanu was born on 28 April 1947.1 She is the daughter of William Richard Le Fanu and Elizabeth Violet Maconchy.2
     She graduated from St. Hilda's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 She was a Harkness Fellow between 1973 and 1974 at Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, U.S.A.G.1 She was the composer.1

Etienne Le Fanu, Seigneur de Montbénard1

     Etienne Le Fanu, Seigneur de Montbénard was the son of Michel Le Fanu.2 He married Claude Laisné, daughter of Denis Laisné, on 11 November 1576.1 He died in May 1616.1
     He was a practising Advocate of Caen Bench.1 In 1595 he was ennobled by King Henri IV of France.1

     Claude Laisné is the daughter of Denis Laisné.2 She married Etienne Le Fanu, Seigneur de Montbénard, son of Michel Le Fanu, on 11 November 1576.1
     From 11 November 1576, her married name became Le Fanu.1

Pierre Le Fanu, Seigneur de Montbénard1

     Pierre Le Fanu, Seigneur de Montbénard was baptised on 10 July 1580.1 He was the son of Etienne Le Fanu, Seigneur de Montbénard and Claude Laisné.2 He married Anne Le Hulle, daughter of Jean Le Hulle and Anne Le Clerc, circa 30 March 1614.1 He died in 1627.1
     On 18 January 1618 he purchased the noble fief of Cresserons.1
