Rhoda Leonora Taylor1

     Rhoda Leonora Taylor was the daughter of Percy C. Taylor.1 She married Hugh John Godley, 2nd Baron Kilbracken, son of John Arthur Godley, 1st Baron Kilbracken and Hon. Sarah James, on 16 October 1936.1 She died on 23 August 1948, without issue.1
     After her marriage, Rhoda Leonora Taylor was styled as Baroness Kilbracken on 16 October 1936. From 16 October 1936, her married name became Godley.1

     Walter Charles James, 1st Baron Northbourne of Betteshanger was born on 3 June 1816 at St. George, London, England.1 He is the son of John James and Lady Emily Jane Stewart.2 He married Sarah Caroline Ellison, daughter of Cuthbert Ellison, on 17 April 1841.1 He died on 4 February 1893 at age 76.1
     He was educated at Westminster School, Westminster, London, England.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet James, of Langley Hall and Denford Court, co. Berks [G.B., 1791] in 1829.1 He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Hull between 1837 and 1847.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Kent in 1855.1 He was created 1st Baron Northbourne of Betteshanger, co. Kent and of Jarrow Grange, co. Palatine of Durham [U.K.] on 5 November 1884.1

     Hon. Sarah James was born in 1844 at St. Martins, London, England.2 She was the daughter of Walter Charles James, 1st Baron Northbourne of Betteshanger and Sarah Caroline Ellison.3 She married John Arthur Godley, 1st Baron Kilbracken, son of John Robert Godley and Charlotte Griffith-Wynne, on 26 September 1871.1 She died on 13 September 1921.1
     From 26 September 1871, her married name became Godley. After her marriage, Hon. Sarah James was styled as Baroness Kilbracken on 8 December 1909.

     Hugh John Godley, 2nd Baron Kilbracken was born on 12 June 1877.1 He was the son of John Arthur Godley, 1st Baron Kilbracken and Hon. Sarah James.2 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Helen Monteith Hamilton, daughter of Vereker Monteith Hamilton and Lilian Swainson, on 15 September 1919.1 He and Elizabeth Helen Monteith Hamilton were divorced in 1936.1 He married, secondly, Rhoda Leonora Taylor, daughter of Percy C. Taylor, on 16 October 1936.1 He died on 13 October 1950 at age 73.1
     He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was admitted to Lincoln's Inn in 1902 entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He was member of the Central Control Board (Liquor Traffic) between 1917 and 1921.1 He was Assistant Parliamentary Counsel of the Treasury between 1917 and 1923.1 He was appointed King's Counsel (K.C.) in 1924.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1931.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Kilbracken, of Killegar, co. Leitrim [U.K., 1909] on 27 June 1932.1

     Hon. Denis Ellison Godley was born on 17 March 1890.1 He was the son of John Arthur Godley, 1st Baron Kilbracken and Hon. Sarah James.2 He died on 9 December 1896 at age 6.1

     Cecil Hubert Bourke-Borrowes was born on 24 January 1892.1 He was the son of Hubert Edward Madden Bourke-Borrowes and Rose Blackett.1 He married Hélène Casenave, daughter of Maurice Casenave, on 11 June 1925.1 He died on 24 December 1967 at age 75, without issue.1
     He was given the name of Cecil Hubert Bourke at birth.1 He was educated at Haileybury College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the First World War, and was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Engineers.1 On 27 August 1925 his name was legally changed to Cecil Hubert Bourke-Borrowes by Deed Poll.1 He fought in the Second World War, attached to RAF North Weald and SHAEF HQ.1 He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)1 He was awarded the Croix de Guerre in 1946.1 He was Attaché to Paris.1 He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1953.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Essex.1
