     Elizabeth Staples was born in 1637 at Lissan, County Tyrone, Ireland.1 She was the daughter of Sir Thomas Staples, 1st Bt. and Charity Jones.1 She married William Jackson on 26 November 1657 at Derry cathedral, Templemore, County Londonderry, Ireland.1
     From 26 November 1657, her married name became Jackson.1

     Sir Thomas Staples, 9th Bt. was born on 31 July 1775.1 He was the son of Rt. Hon. John Staples and Hon. Henrietta Molesworth.2 He married Catherine Hawkins, daughter of Reverend John Hawkins, on 27 October 1813.1 He died on 14 May 1865 at age 89, without issue.1
     Sir Thomas Staples, 9th Bt. was invested as a Queen's Counsel (Q.C.).1 He succeeded to the title of 9th Baronet Staples, of Lissan, co. Tyrone and Faghanvale, co. Londonderry [I., 1628] on 24 June 1832.1
