     Ralph de Cromwell, 3rd Lord Cromwell was born circa 1403.¹ He was the son of Ralph de Cromwell, 2nd Lord Cromwell and Joan (?).² He married Margaret Deincourt, daughter of Sir John Deincourt, 5th Lord Deincourt, before 4 July 1424.¹ He died on 4 January 1454/55, without issue.¹
     He was invested as a Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1422.¹ He was a suspected Yorkist.¹ He held the office of Lord High Treasurer between 1433 and 1443.¹ He was Master of the King's Mews and Falcons in 1436.¹ In 1440 he founded of the college of Tattershall and built the Castle there.¹ On his death, the Barony fell into abeyance (according to later doctrine) between his two nieces and coheirs.¹

     Margaret Deincourt was the daughter of Sir John Deincourt, 5th Lord Deincourt.² She married Ralph de Cromwell, 3rd Lord Cromwell, son of Ralph de Cromwell, 2nd Lord Cromwell and Joan (?), before 4 July 1424.¹ She died on 15 September 1454, without issue.¹
      From before 4 July 1424, her married name became de Cromwell.¹
