     Diane de Poitiers, Duchesse de Valentinois was born circa 1500.1 She was the daughter of Jean de Poitiers, Vicomte d'Estoile and Jean de Batarnay.1 She married Louis de Brézé, Comte de Maulevrier, son of Jacques de Brézé, Comte de Maulevrier and Charlotte de Valois, on 16 April 1515 at Hotel de Bourbon, Paris, FranceG.1 She died on 26 April 1566 at Chateau d'Anet, Eure et Loir, FranceG.1
     She gained the title of Comtesse de Saint Vallier. She gained the title of Duchesse de Valentinois. She and Henri II, Roi de France were associated.2 From 16 April 1515, her married name became de Brézé.1

     Louis de Brézé, Comte de Maulevrier was born in 1463.1 He was the son of Jacques de Brézé, Comte de Maulevrier and Charlotte de Valois.2 He married Diane de Poitiers, Duchesse de Valentinois, daughter of Jean de Poitiers, Vicomte d'Estoile and Jean de Batarnay, on 16 April 1515 at Hotel de Bourbon, Paris, FranceG.1 He died on 23 July 1531 at Chateau d'Anet, Eure et Loir, FranceG.1
     He gained the title of Comte de Maulevrier. He held the office of Grand Senechal of Normandy.1
