Lord Charles Vere Ferrers Townshend was born on 16 September 1785.1 He was the son of George Townshend, 2nd Marquess Townshend and Charlotte Ellerker.1 He married Charlotte Loftus, daughter of William Loftus and Lady Elizabeth Townshend, on 24 March 1812.1 He died on 5 November 1853 at age 68.1

Cecil Bisshopp was born on 25 June 1783.2 He was the son of Cecil Bisshopp, 12th Lord Zouche (of Hayngworth) and Harriet Anne Southwell.1,2 He married Lady Charlotte Barbara Townshend, daughter of George Townshend, 2nd Marquess Townshend and Charlotte Ellerker, on 6 April 1805.1 He died on 11 July 1813 at age 30 at Ontario, Canada, from wounds received in action.1
He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the 1st Foot Guards.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Newport, Isle of Man from 1811 to 1812.2 He fought in the War of 1812.1
