     Elizabeth Mather usually went by her middle name of Berrisford.1 From 2 September 1799, her married name became Vernon.

     John Vernon was born on 24 May 1803.1 He was the son of William Vernon and Elizabeth Mather.2 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Allen, daughter of John Allen, on 26 February 1835.1 He married, secondly, Margaret Berrisford, daughter of Timothy Berrisford, on 26 February 1857.1 He died on 4 August 1887 at age 84.1
     At Rudyard Horton, Staffordshire, England, (an unknown value).1 He lived at Fole, Checkley, Staffordshire, England.1

     Sir William Vernon, 1st Bt. was born on 13 December 1835.1 He was the son of John Vernon and Elizabeth Allen.2 He married Jane Margaret Cooper, daughter of Thomas Cooper, on 30 July 1857.1 He died on 24 June 1919 at age 83.1
     Sir William Vernon, 1st Bt. was head of W. Vernon & Sons (millers) of London and Liverpool.1 He was created 1st Baronet Vernon, of Shotwick Park, co. Chester [U.K.] on 24 January 1914.1 He had another son, who died in infancy.1

     Sir John Herbert Vernon, 2nd Bt. was born on 12 July 1858.3 He is the son of Sir William Vernon, 1st Bt. and Jane Margaret Cooper.2 He married Elizabeth Bagnall, daughter of John Bagnall, on 1 June 1889.3 He died on 13 June 1933 at age 74.3
     Sir John Herbert Vernon, 2nd Bt. usually went by his middle name of Herbert.1 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Vernon, of Shotwick Park, co. Chester [U.K., 1914] on 24 June 1919.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Cheshire in 1926.3
