     Eliza Jane Kett was born on 24 July 1866 at Norwich, Norfolk, England.1 She was the daughter of Alfred Seaman Kett and Elizabeth Hawes.1 She married Bernie Seymour Petre, son of John Berney Petre and Susanna Childs, in 1887 at Norwich, Norfolk, England.1 She died on 29 September 1955 at age 89 at Masonville Hospital, London, Ontario, Canada.1 She was buried at Woodlawn Cemetery, London, Ontario, Canada.1
     From 1887, her married name became Petre.1
