Lt.-Col. Charles Alexander Neave was born on 29 July 1869.1 He was the son of Reverend William Alexander Neave and Frances Mary Saunders.2 He married Klara Elizabeth Schur, daughter of Richard Schur, in 1891.1 He died on 9 June 1942 at age 72.1
Lt.-Col. Charles Alexander Neave fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Artillery.1 He fought in the Nandi Expedition between 1905 and 1906.1 He was Transport Officer in 1914 at Nairobi, Kenya.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the 3rd Battalion, Somerset Light Infantry.1 He was Assistant Director of Transport in 1916.1 He was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1919.1
