     Sir Hugh Acland, 2nd/6th Bt. was baptised on 26 January 1696/97.1 He was born circa January 1696/97. He was the son of John Acland and Elizabeth Acland. He and Cicely Wrothe obtained a marriage license on 9 May 1721.1 He died on 29 July 1728 at age 31.1 He was buried on 3 August 1728.2 His will was probated in 1728.2
     Sir Hugh Acland, 2nd/6th Bt. succeeded to the title of 6th Baronet Acland, of Columb-John, Devon [E., 1644] in March 1714.3 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Acland, of Columb-John, Devon [E., 1678] in March 1713/14.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Barnstaple between 1721 and 1727.1

     Cicely Wrothe is the daughter of Sir Thomas Wrothe, 3rd Bt. and Mary Osbaldeston.1,2 She and Sir Hugh Acland, 2nd/6th Bt. obtained a marriage license on 9 May 1721.1 She married, secondly, Reverend Thomas Troyte on 13 August 1729.1,2
     From circa 9 May 1721, her married name became Acland. From 13 August 1729, her married name became Troyte.
