     Mary Sutherland was the daughter of Nicholas Sutherland.² She married John Miller, son of Sir William Miller of Glenlee, 2nd Bt. and Grizel Chalmers, on 15 March 1828.¹ She died on 9 September 1875.¹
     From 15 March 1828, her married name became Miller.¹

     William Miller was born in November 1831.¹ He was the son of John Miller and Mary Sutherland.² He died, without issue.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 92nd Regiment.¹

     Maj.-Gen. James Miller was born on 26 October 1835.¹ He was the son of John Miller and Mary Sutherland.² He married Elinot Katharine Robinson, daughter of T. L. Robinson, on 28 August 1873.¹ He died on 20 March 1929 at age 93.¹
     He gained the rank of Major-General in the Indian Army.¹

     T. L. Robinson held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He lived at Croydon, Surrey, England^G.¹

     Elinot Katharine Robinson was the daughter of T. L. Robinson.² She married Maj.-Gen. James Miller, son of John Miller and Mary Sutherland, on 28 August 1873.¹ She died on 30 September 1914.¹
     From 28 August 1873, her married name became Miller.¹

     Lieutenant John Lockhart Miller was born on 3 October 1883.¹ He was the son of Maj.-Gen. James Miller and Elinot Katharine Robinson.² He died on 21 May 1916 at age 32, killed in action.¹
     He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 8th Battalion, London Regiment.¹

     Arthur Wellesley Miller was born on 2 July 1839.¹ He was the son of John Miller and Mary Sutherland.² He married Edith Maude Hamilton, daughter of Richard Fisher Hamilton, in September 1896.¹ He died on 12 February 1899 at age 59.¹

     Richard Fisher Hamilton lived at Carisbrook House, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹

     Edith Maude Hamilton is the daughter of Richard Fisher Hamilton.² She married, firstly, George Augustus Cuming Eliott, son of George Augustus Leslie Eliott and Mary Rattray, on 29 April 1886.² She married, secondly, Arthur Wellesley Miller, son of John Miller and Mary Sutherland, in September 1896.¹
     From 29 April 1886, her married name became Eliott. From September 1896, her married name became Miller.¹

     Lieutenant John Leslie Wellesley Miller was born in 1897.¹ He was the son of Arthur Wellesley Miller and Edith Maude Hamilton.² He died in 1916, killed in action.¹
     He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the The Buffs.¹
