     Theodore Dyke Acland was born on 14 November 1851.1 He was the son of Sir Henry Wentworth Acland, 1st Bt. and Sarah Cotton.1 He married Caroline Cameron Gull, daughter of Sir William Gull, 1st Bt. and Susan Anne Lacy, on 12 April 1888.1 He died on 16 April 1931 at age 79.1
     Theodore Dyke Acland was educated at Christ Church College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He graduated from Oxford University with the degree of Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He graduated from Oxford University with the degree of Doctor of Medicine (M.D.).1 He was registered as a Licentiate, Royal College of Physicians, London (L.R.C.P.).1 He was Principal Medical Officer of the Egyptian Army in 1883.1 He was registered as a Member, Royal College of Surgeons (M.R.C.S.).1 He gained the rank of Brevet Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Royal Army Medical Corps (Territorial Army).1
