John Walter Hoskyns was born on 19 July 1892.1 He was the son of Rear-Admiral Peyton Hoskyns and Grace MacDuff Latham.2 He married Magdalen Rose Wyndham Hawker, daughter of Peter James Duff Hawker and Isabel Flora Augusta Tippinge, on 31 July 1917.1 He died on 5 August 1980 at age 88 at Ballylickey, Bantry, County Cork, Ireland.3
He gained the rank of First World War in the where he was wounded and was mentioned in despatches.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.1

Peter James Duff Hawker was born on 30 July 1852.2 He was the son of Peter William Lanoe Hawker and Elizabeth Fraser.3 He married Isabel Flora Augusta Tippinge, daughter of Lt.-Col. Alfred Tippinge and Flora Louisa Calvert, on 14 November 1883.2 He died on 23 March 1896 at age 43.2
He retired from the military in 1873, with the rank of Sub-Lieutenant, late of the Royal Navy.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hampshire.2 He lived at Longparish House, Hampshire, EnglandG.1
