     John Nivison, 2nd Baron Glendyne was born on 14 March 1878.1 He is the son of Robert Nivison, 1st Baron Glendyne and Jane Wightman.2 He married Ivy May Rose, daughter of James Rose, in 1920.1 He died on 28 January 1967 at age 88.1
     John Nivison, 2nd Baron Glendyne was educated at Harrow School, Harrow on the Hill, London, England, Harrow.1 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Nivison, of Sanquhar, co. Dumfries [U.K., 1914] on 14 June 1930.1 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baron Glendyne, of Sanquhar, co. Dumfries [U.K., 1922] on 14 June 1930.1

     2nd Lieutenant Robert Butler Nivison was born on 7 June 1895.1 He was the son of Robert Nivison, 1st Baron Glendyne and Jane Wightman.2 He died on 15 September 1916 at age 21, killed in action.3
     2nd Lieutenant Robert Butler Nivison fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the service of the King's Royal Rifle Corps.1
