Arthur Francis Ferguson Davie was born on 11 July 1867.1 He was the son of Sir William Augustus Ferguson Davie, 3rd Bt. and Frances Harriett Miles.2 He married Eleanor Blanche Daphne Naylor, daughter of Charles Topham Naylor, on 2 August 1906.1 He died on 11 April 1916 at age 48, from wound received in action.1
     Lt.-Col. Arthur Francis Ferguson Davie fought in the Waziristan Campaign between 1894 and 1895.1 He fought in the Chitral Campaign in 1896.1 He fought in the Tirah Campaign between 1897 and 1898.1 He was decorated with the award of Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.).1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.).1 He fought in the Waziristan Campaign between 1901 and 1902.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the 51st Sikhs, Indian Army.1 He fought in the First World War.1
