     Lt.-Col. Augustus Joseph Sykes was born on 12 April 1831.¹ He was the son of Reverend William Sykes and Anna Maria Heath Gattey.² He died on 28 April 1884 at age 53.¹
     Lt.-Col. Augustus Joseph Sykes gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the 4th KOR.¹

     Reverend John Heath Sykes was born on 22 April 1834.¹ He was the son of Reverend William Sykes and Anna Maria Heath Gattey.² He married Frances Amelia Nind, daughter of Reverend Phillip Henry Nind, on 12 August 1862.¹ He died on 26 March 1912 at age 77.¹
     Reverend John Heath Sykes graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).¹ He was the Rector at Billesley, England.¹ He was the Vicar at Haselor, Warwickshire, England.¹

     Frances Amelia Nind was the daughter of Reverend Phillip Henry Nind.² She married Reverend John Heath Sykes, son of Reverend William Sykes and Anna Maria Heath Gattey, on 12 August 1862.¹ She died on 27 November 1919.¹
     From 12 August 1862, her married name became Sykes.

     Francis William Sykes was born on 21 May 1864.¹ He was the son of Reverend John Heath Sykes and Frances Amelia Nind.² He married Beatrice Agnes Webb, daughter of Edward Webb, on 25 April 1905.¹ He died on 14 March 1945 at age 80.¹
     Francis William Sykes fought in the Matabele War in 1896.¹ He fought in the Boer War in 1900.¹ He was Commissioner under British South Africa Company between 1901 and 1906 at Livingstone, Zimbabwe.¹

     Beatrice Agnes Webb was the daughter of Edward Webb.² She married Francis William Sykes, son of Reverend John Heath Sykes and Frances Amelia Nind, on 25 April 1905.¹ She died on 7 August 1953.¹
     From 25 April 1905, her married name became Sykes.

     Sir Francis Godfrey Sykes, 9th Bt. was born on 27 August 1907.³ He is the son of Francis William Sykes and Beatrice Agnes Webb.² He married, firstly, Eira Betty Badcock, daughter of George Wallace Badcock, on 25 July 1934.³ He married, secondly, Nesta Mabel Sykes on 16 September 1972.³ He married, thirdly, Ethel Florence Liddell, daughter of Lt.-Col. John Sinclair Liddell, on 9 February 1984.³ He died on 19 April 1990 at age 82.³
     Sir Francis Godfrey Sykes, 9th Bt. was educated at Blundell's School, Tiverton, Devon, England.³ He was educated at Nelson College, Nelson, New Zealand.³ He succeeded to the title of 9th Baronet Sykes, of Basildon, Berks [G.B., 1781] on 17 March 1956.¹

     John Patrick Sykes was born on 17 March 1909.¹ He is the son of Francis William Sykes and Beatrice Agnes Webb.² He married Patricia Cecily Little, daughter of E. P. Graham Little, on 31 October 1955.¹
     John Patrick Sykes was educated at Blundell's School, Tiverton, Devon, England.¹ He was educated at Nelson College, Nelson, New Zealand.¹ He lived in 2003 at Craigview Grove, 41/143 Stock Road, Bicton, Western Australia, Australia.¹
