     Robert Pringle was the son of George Pringle of Craigleith and Margaret Ker.2 He died in 1672, without issue.1
     Robert Pringle lived at Carberton.1 He lived at Newhall, Scotland.3

     Robert Pringle, 1st of Stichill was born circa 1581.1 He was the son of George Pringle of Craigleith and Janet Pringle.2 He married Catherine Hamilton.1 He died in 1649.1
     Robert Pringle, 1st of Stichill held the office of Treasurer Depute [Scotland] in 1613.1 He purchased Stichill in 1628.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Roxburghshire between 1639 and 1641.1 He also had an older daughter.3

     Duncan McNeill, 1st and last Baron Colonsay of Colonsay and Oronsay was born in August 1793 at Colonsay, Argyllshire, Scotland.1 He was the son of John McNeill.1 He died on 31 January 1874 at age 80, unmarried.1
