     Lt.-Col. Gerald Owen Whyte was the son of Percy Horatio Marnfred Whyte.¹ He married Susan Muir Mackenzie, daughter of Kenneth James Muir Mackenzie and Phyllis Taylor, on 22 November 1947.¹ He died in January 1994.²
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the 2nd/10th Gurkha Rifles.¹

     He gained the rank of Brevet Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Royal Scots.¹ He was decorated with the award of the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.).¹ He fought in the First World War.¹

     Susanne Frances Maud Muir Mackenzie was the daughter of Sir John William Pitt Muir Mackenzie and Fanny Louisa Johnstone.² She married Arthur Swinburne in April 1910.¹ She died on 17 December 1927.¹

     Georgina Margaret Alice Muir Mackenzie was the daughter of Sir John William Pitt Muir Mackenzie and Fanny Louisa Johnstone.² She died, young.¹
