     Lt.-Col. George David Garforth-Bles was the son of Captain George Marcus Garforth-Bles.² He married, firstly, Susan Muir Mackenzie, daughter of Kenneth James Muir Mackenzie and Phyllis Taylor, on 28 March 1939.¹ He and Susan Muir Mackenzie were divorced in 1947.¹ He married, secondly, Anne Deshon in 1948.³ He died on 27 September 2006.³
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the QVO Corps Guides Cavalry, Indian Army.¹ He also had three children by his second wife.³
