     Alexander Elphinstone, 5th Lord Elphinstone was born on 13 November 1577.1 He was the son of Alexander Elphinstone, 4th Lord Elphinstone and Jean Livingstone.2 He married Elizabeth Drummond, daughter of Patrick Drummond, 3rd Lord Drummond and Lady Elizabeth Lindsay, on 28 April 1607.3,4 He was also reported to have been married on 5 July 1608.5 He died on 27 August 1648 at age 70.5,4
     He succeeded as the 5th Lord Elphinstone [S., 1510] on 11 January 1638.5

     Elizabeth Drummond was born in 1581.2 She was the daughter of Patrick Drummond, 3rd Lord Drummond and Lady Elizabeth Lindsay.3 She married Alexander Elphinstone, 5th Lord Elphinstone, son of Alexander Elphinstone, 4th Lord Elphinstone and Jean Livingstone, on 28 April 1607.2,4 She was also reported to have been married on 5 July 1608.1 She died on 1 December 1637.2
     From 28 April 1607, her married name became Elphinstone.

     Charles Elphinstone, 9th Lord Elphinstone was born on 14 April 1682.1,2 He was the son of John Elphinstone, 8th Lord Elphinstone and Isabel Maitland.2 He married Elizabeth Primrose, daughter of Sir William Primrose of Carrington, 2nd Bt. and Mary Scott, on 12 September 1702.2 He died on 20 February 1757 at age 74.2
     He succeeded as the 9th Lord Elphinstone [S., 1510] circa March 1717/18.2

     Elizabeth Primrose was the daughter of Sir William Primrose of Carrington, 2nd Bt. and Mary Scott.2 She married Charles Elphinstone, 9th Lord Elphinstone, son of John Elphinstone, 8th Lord Elphinstone and Isabel Maitland, on 12 September 1702.1,2 She died on 18 February 1738.1
     From 12 September 1702, her married name became Elphinstone.

Frederic Sydney Trench was born on 9 December 1894 at Woodlawn, Kilconnell, County Galway, IrelandG.1 He was the son of Frederic Oliver Trench, 3rd Baron Ashtown and Violet Grace Cosby.1 He was baptised on 20 January 1895 at Woodlawn, Kilconnell, County Galway, IrelandG.1 He died on 16 November 1916 at age 21, from wounds received in action the previous day.3
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the King's Royal Rifle Corps.3 He was educated at Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.3 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1916, where he was wounded three times.4

     Charles Elphinstone, 10th Lord Elphinstone was born on 6 August 1711.1 He was the son of Charles Elphinstone, 9th Lord Elphinstone and Elizabeth Primrose.2 He married Lady Clementina Fleming, daughter of John Fleming, 6th Earl of Wigton and Lady Mary Keith, on 14 October 1735.3,1,4 He died on 2 April 1781 at age 69.3
     He succeeded as the 10th Lord Elphinstone [S., 1510] on 20 February 1757.3
