     Charles Kinnaird, 6th Baron Kinnaird was the son of George Kinnaird and Lady Helen Gordon. He married Barbara Johnstone, daughter of Sir James Johnstone, 3rd Bt. and Barbara Murray. He died in 1767.
     Charles Kinnaird, 6th Baron Kinnaird was also known as 6th Baron Kinnaird.

     Barbara Johnstone was the daughter of Sir James Johnstone, 3rd Bt. and Barbara Murray. She married Charles Kinnaird, 6th Baron Kinnaird, son of George Kinnaird and Lady Helen Gordon. She died on 21 October 1765.
     Her married name became Kinnaird.

     Barbara Murray was the daughter of Alexander Murray, 4th Lord Elibank and Elizabeth Stirling.1,2 She married Sir James Johnstone, 3rd Bt. on 1 September 1719.3 She died on 15 March 1773.3
     Her married name became Johnstone.

     Alexander Murray, 4th Lord Elibank was born on 9 March 1676/77.3 He was the son of Patrick Murray, 3rd Baron Elibank and Anna Burnett.2 He married Elizabeth Stirling, daughter of George Stirling, on 24 February 1697/98.3 He died on 6 February 1735/36 at age 58.3
     Alexander Murray, 4th Lord Elibank gained the title of 4th Lord Elibank.4 He was a founder Society of Improvers in the knowledge of Ag in Scotland in 1723.3

     Charles Kinnaird, 8th Baron Kinnaird was born on 12 April 1780. He was the son of George Kinnaird, 7th Baron Kinnaird and Elizabeth Ransom. He married Lady Olivia Letitia Catherine FitzGerald, daughter of William Robert FitzGerald, 2nd Duke of Leinster and Hon. Emilia Olivia St. George, on 8 May 1806 at London, England.2 He died on 12 December 1826 at age 46.
     Charles Kinnaird, 8th Baron Kinnaird gained the title of 8th Baron Kinnaird in 1805. He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.3
