     Commander Aubrey Arthur Douglas Grey was born on 4 September 1894.1 He was the son of Egerton Spencer Grey and Ethel Harriet Wigan.2 He married Joan Fabian Dickinson, daughter of C. H. Dickinson, in 1928.1 He died in 1979.1
     Commander Aubrey Arthur Douglas Grey gained the rank of Commander in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded and became a POW.1 He was decorated with the Stanhope Gold Medal.1
