     Sarah Dorothy Beatrice Noel was born on 2 July 1886.1 She was the daughter of Colonel William Frederick Noel and Beatrice Elizabeth Bradney.2 She married Colonel Malby Crofton, son of Malby Edward Crofton and Henrietta Moore, on 27 September 1911.1 She died on 9 December 1976 at age 90.1
     From 27 September 1911, her married name became Crofton. She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).1

     Colonel Malby Crofton was born on 19 March 1881.3 He is the son of Malby Edward Crofton and Henrietta Moore.2 He married Sarah Dorothy Beatrice Noel, daughter of Colonel William Frederick Noel and Beatrice Elizabeth Bradney, on 27 September 1911.1 He died on 30 December 1948 at age 67.3
     Colonel Malby Crofton was educated at Lancaster Royal Grammar School, Lancaster, Lancashire, England.3 He fought in the Boer War between 1901 and 1902.3 He was decorated with the award of 1914 Star in 1914.3 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1918, where he was mentioned in despatches six times.3 He was decorated with the award of Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) (and bar (1918)) in 1916.3 He gained the rank of Brevet Lieutenant-Colonel.3 He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the Royal Artillery.3
