     Edmund Gerald Dease was born on 6 September 1829.1 He was the son of Gerald Dease and Elizabeth O'Callaghan.1 He married Mary Grattan, daughter of Henry Grattan, on 21 June 1859.1 He died on 17 July 1904 at age 74.1
     He graduated from Queen's University of Ireland, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He held the office of High Sheriff in 1859.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Queen's County between 1870 and 1880.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He held the office of Commissioner of National Education.1 He was a member of the Senate at Royal University of Ireland, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.1 He lived at Rath House, Ballybrittas, County Laois, IrelandG.1

     Mary Grattan was the daughter of Henry Grattan.1 She married Edmund Gerald Dease, son of Gerald Dease and Elizabeth O'Callaghan, on 21 June 1859.1 She died on 2 February 1918.1
     From 21 June 1859, her married name became Dease.1

     Col. Sir Gerald Richard Dease was born on 7 July 1831.1 He was the son of Gerald Dease and Elizabeth O'Callaghan.1 He married Emily Throckmorton, daughter of Sir Robert George Throckmorton, 8th Bt. and Elizabeth Acton, on 25 November 1863.1 He died on 18 October 1903 at age 72.1
     He was educated at Stonyhurst College, Blackburn, Lancashire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of honorary Colonel in the 4th Battalion, Royal Irish Fusiliers.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Counties Kildare and Meath.1 He was a Director, Great Southern & Western Railway.1 He was a Director, E. & J. Burke, Ltd.1 He was a Director, Bank of Ireland, the Governor between 1890 and 1892.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1897.1 He was Chamberlain to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland.1 He lived at Celbridge Abbey, Kildrought, County Kildare, IrelandG.1
