     Captain Con William Eric Cole-Hamilton was born on 7 March 1894.1 He was the son of William Andrew Thomas Cole-Hamilton and Lizzie Alexander Penny.1 He died on 2 July 1917 at age 23, killed in a flying accident.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Scots.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Flying Corps.1

     Lt.-Col. Claud George Cole-Hamilton was born on 27 January 1869.1 He was the son of Captain William Claud Cole-Hamilton and Caroline Elizabeth Josephine Stuart.1 He married Lucy Charlewood Thorold, daughter of Reginald Henry Thorold and Sarah Catherine Charlewood, on 4 April 1893.2 He died on 6 January 1957 at age 87.1
     He fought in the Boer War between 1901 and 1902, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was awarded the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1902 and bar (1919.)1 He was Chief Constable of Breconshire between 1912 and 1947.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Irish Rifles.1 He was appointed First World War where he was mentioned in despatches four times, wounded, gassed, and became a POW.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1917.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He was appointed Knight, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (K.St.J.)1 He was awarded the King's Police Medal (K.P.M.)1

     Reginald Henry Thorold was born on 12 October 1831.2 He is the son of Reverend Henry Baugh Thorold and Julia Ellis.2 He married Sarah Catherine Charlewood, daughter of Admiral Edward Philips Charlewood, on 18 August 1868.2 He died on 24 August 1910 at age 78.2
     He gained the rank of officer in the 92nd Highlanders.2

     Lucy Charlewood Thorold was the daughter of Reginald Henry Thorold and Sarah Catherine Charlewood.1,2 She married Lt.-Col. Claud George Cole-Hamilton, son of Captain William Claud Cole-Hamilton and Caroline Elizabeth Josephine Stuart, on 4 April 1893.2 She died on 14 November 1941.1 She was also reported to have died on 14 November 1951.2
     From 4 April 1893, her married name became Cole-Hamilton.
