Sarah Persse was the daughter of Very Rev. Dudley Persse and Sarah Crofton.1,2 She married John Blakeney, son of Major Robert Blakeney and Susannah Ormsby, in 1671.1 She died in 1691.3

Colonel Robert Blakeney was the son of John Blakeney and Sarah Persse.1 He married Sarah Ormsby, daughter of Gilbert Ormsby, on 22 June 1702.1 He died on 5 May 1733.1
He held the office of High Sheriff in 1709.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) in 1714.1 He lived at Castle Blakeney, County Galway, Ireland, which burnt in the 1720s.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in 1720 in the service of the Galway Dragoons.1 From 1721, Colonel Robert Blakeney held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Athenry.1 He held the office of High Sheriff in 1729.1 He lived at Abbert, Monivea, County Galway, Ireland, which he leased from the Most Rev.
