     Major Robert Tottenham was born on 2 October 1834.1 He was the son of Reverend Robert Loftus Tottenham and Anne Dorothea Anketell.2 He married Mary Ann Kate Harvey, daughter of H. W. Harvey, on 9 November 1864.1 He died on 12 August 1872 at age 37.1
     Major Robert Tottenham gained the rank of Major in the service of the Royal Artillery.1
