     Pierce Butler, 7th/17th Baron Dunboyne was the son of James Butler, 6th/16th Baron Dunboyne and Elizabeth Everard.1 He married Anna Cadell, daughter of Robert Cadell.1 He died in 1718, without issue.1
     Pierce Butler, 7th/17th Baron Dunboyne succeeded to the title of 17th Baron Dunboyne [I., 1324] in January 1701.1 He succeeded to the title of 7th Baron Dunboyne, co. Meath [I., 1541] in January 1701.1
