     Maria Becher was born at sea on 14 March 1795.2 She was the daughter of John Harman Becher and Harriet Cowper.1 She was baptised on 18 October 1795 at Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, EnglandG.2 She married Lt.-Col. Alexander Knox on 22 November 1817 at RewarrieG.1,2 She died circa May 1822, in pregnancy.2 She was buried on 28 May 1822.2
     From 22 November 1817, her married name became Graham.1

Admiral Alexander Bridgport Becher1

     Admiral Alexander Bridgport Becher was born on 12 June 1796.1,2 He was the son of Captain William Alexander Becher and Frances Scott.1 He married Anne Harriet Thorne, daughter of Thomas Thorne, in 1824 at Bloomsbury, London, EnglandG.1,2 He died on 15 February 1876 at age 79 at 46 Upper Gloucester Place, Dorset Square, London, EnglandG.2 He died intestate and his estate was administered to his widow on 25 March 1876.2
     He was educated in April 1810 at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon, EnglandG.2 He gained the rank of Midshipman on 28 November 1812 in the Royal Navy.2
