     Francis Fane was born circa 1698.1 He was the son of Henry Fane and Anne Scrope.1 He died on 28 May 1757, unmarried.1

     Thomas Fane, 8th Earl of Westmorland was baptised on 8 March 1700/1.2 He was the son of Henry Fane and Anne Scrope.1 He married Elizabeth Swymmer, daughter of William Swymmer, on 8 August 1727.2 He died on 12 November 1771 at age 70.
     Thomas Fane, 8th Earl of Westmorland was clerk to the Society of Merchant Venturers.2 He was a merchant at Bristol, Gloucestershire, England.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Lyme Regis between 1753 and 1762.2 He was admitted to Middle Temple in 1759 entitled to practice as a barrister.2 He succeeded to the title of 8th Earl of Westmorland [E., 1624] on 26 August 1762.1 He succeeded to the title of 8th Baron Burghersh, co. Sussex [E., 1624] on 26 August 1762.1 He also had two daughters.2

     Elizabeth Swymmer was born in August 1708.1 She was the daughter of William Swymmer.1 She married, firstly, Samuel Kentish before 1727.1 She married, secondly, Thomas Fane, 8th Earl of Westmorland, son of Henry Fane and Anne Scrope, on 8 August 1727.1 She died on 17 November 1782 at age 74.1
     From before 1727, her married name became Kentish.1 From 8 August 1727, her married name became Fane.1 As a result of her marriage, Elizabeth Swymmer was styled as Countess of Westmorland on 26 August 1762.

     Sir William Montgomery of Magbiehill, 1st Bt. was born on 19 November 1717.1 He was the son of William Montgomery of Magbiehill and Barbara Rutherford.1 He married, firstly, Hannah Tomkyns, daughter of Alexander Tomkyns, on 1 July 1750.1 He married, secondly, Anne Evatt, daughter of Humphry Evatt, on 9 January 1762.1 He died on 26 December 1788 at age 71.1
     Sir William Montgomery of Magbiehill, 1st Bt. succeeded to the title of 1st Baronet Montgomery, of Magbiehill [Great Britain] on 29 October 1774.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) [Ireland].1 He lived at Macbie Hill, Peebles-shire, Scotland.

He was the son of Marcus Beresford, 1st Earl of Tyrone.2 He married, firstly, Anne Constantia Ligondes, daughter of General Count (?) de Ligondes, on 12 November 1760. He married, secondly, Barbara Montgomery, daughter of Sir William Montgomery of Magbiehill, 1st Bt. and Hannah Tomkyns, on 4 June 1774.2 He died on 5 November 1805 at age 67.
