Lt. Col. Edmund Yates Peel was born on 24 July 1824.2 He was the son of General Rt. Hon. Jonathan Peel and Lady Alicia Jane Kennedy.3 He married Maria Frances Knighton Chadwick, daughter of Richard Chadwick, in 1848.2 He died before April 1900.2 His will was proven (by probate) on 24 April 1900.2
He gained the rank of Captain in the 85th Regiment.4 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 12th Regiment of Turks.5 He held the office of Resident Magistrate of Letterkenny.4

Captain Cecil Molyneux Barton was born on 12 October 1883.1 He was the son of Molyneux Barton and Charlotte Frances Yates Peel.1 He married Una Alys Harvey, daughter of George Morgan Harvey, in 1920.1 He died on 29 March 1962 at age 78.1
