John Fitzgerald, Baron of Burnchurch was the son of Rowland Fitzgerald, 2nd Baron of Burnchurch and Anastasia St. Leger.1 He died in 1552 at Mallardstown, County Kilkenny, Ireland, murdered by Edward More O'Clery.1 He was buried at Burnchurch, County Kilkenny, Ireland.1
