     Joseph Barcroft was born on 31 March 1706.1 He was the son of William Barcroft and Ellen Inman.1 He married, firstly, Molina Jaffray, daughter of Alexander Jaffray, in 1730, with issue, who all died unmarried.1 He married, secondly, Hannah Wilcocks on 29 April 1744.1 His will was probated on 23 December 1784.1
      In 1728 Joseph Barcroft was a Freeman of Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.1 He lived at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.1
