Dudley Bagenal1

     Dudley Bagenal was the son of Sir Nicholas Bagenal and Eleanora Griffith.1 He married, firstly, Katherine Nangle, daughter of Patrick Nangle.1 He married, secondly, Mabel Fitzgerald, daughter of George Fitzgerald.1 He died in 1587, killed in an ambush set by the Kavanaghs.1
     He started a feud with the Kavanaghs, original owners of the territory.1 He lived in 1585 at Idrone, County Carlow, IrelandG, a large estate which his father bought for him.1 He held the office of Constable of Leighlin Castle between 1585 and 1587.1

     Frances Bagenal was the daughter of Sir Nicholas Bagenal and Eleanora Griffith.1 She married Oliver Plunkett, 4th Baron Louth, son of Thomas Plunkett, 2nd Baron Louth and Margaret Barnewall, they had three sons and five daughters.1
     Kt Marshal Ireland.2 She was also known as Frances Bagnall.2 Her married name became Plunkett.1

Oliver Plunkett, 4th Baron Louth1

     Oliver Plunkett, 4th Baron Louth was the son of Thomas Plunkett, 2nd Baron Louth and Margaret Barnewall.2,3 He married, firstly, Frances Bagenal, daughter of Sir Nicholas Bagenal and Eleanora Griffith, they had three sons and five daughters.1 He married, secondly, Genet Dowdall, daughter of Patrick Dowdall.4 He died on 5 March 1607.1
     He succeeded as the 4th Baron Louth [I., 1541] on 1 May 1578.4 He had six other children.4
