     Catherine Gertrude Armstrong was the daughter of William Henry Armstrong and Bridget Macdonnell.1 She married John Bayly, son of John Bayly and Mary Elizabeth Helena Uniacke, on 17 October 1839.2 She died on 4 October 1874.1
     She was also known as Gertrude Catherine Armstrong.2 From 17 October 1839, her married name became Bayly.1

     John Bayly was born on 3 September 1805.2 He was the son of John Bayly and Mary Elizabeth Helena Uniacke.2 He married, firstly, Catherine Yates, daughter of Thomas Yates, on 13 May 1829.2 He married, secondly, Catherine Gertrude Armstrong, daughter of William Henry Armstrong and Bridget Macdonnell, on 17 October 1839.2 He died on 14 May 1865 at age 59.1
     He held the office of High Sheriff in 1845.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.).1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).1 He lived at Debsborough Lodge, Nenagh, County Tipperary, Ireland.2

      From 23 March 1849, her married name became Dobrée.1
