     Colonel Daniel Dering was born circa 1665 at Pluckley, Kent, England.2 He was the son of Sir Edward Dering, 2nd Bt. He married Helena Perceval, daughter of Sir John Perceval, 1st Bt. and Catherine Southwell.1 He died in May 1691 at Ireland, while on campaign with his regiment.2

John Archdale1

     John Archdale was born on 30 December 1578.2 He was the son of Martin Archdale and Barbara Sexton.1 He married, firstly, Frances Honings, daughter of Edward Honings, on 25 January 1600/1.2 He married, secondly, Katherine Temple, daughter of Sir William Temple and Martha Harrison.2 He died on 31 August 1621 at age 42, he also had other issue who died before he did.2
     He was admitted to Gray's Inn in 1608.1 Hesettled as an 'undertaker' after the flight of the Earls of Tyrone and Tyrconnell.1 He lived at Abbotts Hall, Darsham, Suffolk, EnglandG.1 He obtained by Letters Patent on 13 July 1612 a grant of land at Tallanagh, Lurg, County Fermanagh, IrelandG, on which the old Castle Archdale was built in 1615. He also obtained lands at Drumragh, County Tyrone, and Curranlurge, County Fermanagh.1,2 He lived at Castle Archdale, County Fermanagh, IrelandG.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Fermanagh in 1616.1

     He graduated from Christ's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1607 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He graduated from Christ's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1611 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was the Rector in 1627 of Trimley St. Martin, Suffolk, EnglandG.1
