     Catherine Elizabeth Coote was born in 1829.1 She was the daughter of Eyre Coote and Elizabeth Rosetta Massy-Dawson.2 She married Admiral Sir William Houston Shaw-Stewart, son of Admiral Sir Houston Shaw-Stewart and Martha Miller, on 20 February 1850.3 She died on 23 November 1867.1
      From 20 February 1850, her married name became Shaw-Stewart.1

     Sir Houston Mark Shaw-Stewart of Greenhall and Blackhall, 11th Bt. was born on 24 April 1931.1 He was the son of Colonel Sir Walter Guy Shaw-Stewart, 9th Bt. and Diana Bellenden Bulteel.2 He married Lucinda Victoria Fletcher, daughter of Alexander K. H. Fletcher, in 1982.1 He died after 2003.
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Ulster Rifles.1 He was decorated with the award of the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1950.1 He fought in the Korean War between 1950 and 1951.1 He was decorated with the award of the Territorial Decoration (T.D.).1 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Ayrshire Yeomanry.1 He was admitted to Royal Company of Archers.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Renfrewshire between 1970 and 1974.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Strathclyde Region between 1974 and 1980.1 He held the office of Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of Strathclyde Region between 1980 and 1995.1 He succeeded to the title of 11th Baronet Stewart, of Greenock and Blackhall, co. Renfrew [N.S., 1667] on 30 January 1980.1
