     Rt. Hon. John Hely Hutchinson is the son of Francis Hely and Prudence Earbury.1 He married Christiana Nickson, Baroness of Donoughmore of Knocklofty, daughter of Abraham Nickson, on 8 June 1751.1
     His name was legally changed to John Hely Hutchinson on his wife's inheritance of the Hutchinson estates.1 He was given the name of John Hely at birth.1 He was a practising barrister in 1738.1 He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lanesborough between 1759 and 1761.1 He held the office of Prime Serjeant between 1761 and 1764.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Cork between 1761 and 1790.1 He held the office of Provost of Trinity College, Dublin between 1774 and 1794.1 He held the office of Keeper of the Privy Seal between 1777 and 1794.1 He held the office of Principal Secretary of State [Ireland] between 1777 and 1794.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1787.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Taghmon between 1790 and 1794.1

     Christiana Nickson, Baroness of Donoughmore of Knocklofty was the daughter of Abraham Nickson.1 She married Rt. Hon. John Hely Hutchinson, son of Francis Hely and Prudence Earbury, on 8 June 1751.1 She died on 24 June 1788.1
     From 8 June 1751, her married name became Hely Hutchinson.1 She was created 1st Baroness Donoughmore of Knocklofty, co. Tipperary [Ireland] on 16 October 1783.1

     Lt.-Gen. Richard Hely Hely Hutchinson, 1st Earl of Donoughmore of Knocklofty was born on 29 January 1756.1 He was the son of Rt. Hon. John Hely Hutchinson and Christiana Nickson, Baroness of Donoughmore of Knocklofty.1 He died on 22 August 1825 at age 69, unmarried.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Donoughmore of Knocklofty, co. Tipperary [I., 1783] on 24 June 1788.1 He was created 1st Viscount Donoughmore of Knocklofty, co. Tipperary [Ireland] on 20 November 1797, with a special remainder to his mother's male descendants.1 He was created 1st Earl of Donoughmore of Knocklofty [Ireland] on 31 December 1800, with a special remainder to his mother's male descendants.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-General.1 He held the office of Governor of County Tipperary.1 He held the office of Lord Treasurer's Remembrancer Court of Exchequer [Ireland].1 He was created 1st Viscount Hutchinson of Knocklofty, co. Tipperary [U.K.] on 14 July 1821, with a special remainder to his mother's male descendants.1

     General John Hely Hutchinson, 2nd Earl of Donoughmore of Knocklofty was born on 15 May 1757.1 He was the son of Rt. Hon. John Hely Hutchinson and Christiana Nickson, Baroness of Donoughmore of Knocklofty.1 He died on 29 June 1832 at age 75, unmarried.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.1 He was commissioned in 1774, in the service of the British Army.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1783 in the 77th Regiment.1 He was Colonel of the 94th Foot between 1794 and 1795.2 He gained the rank of Major-General in 1796.2 He was Colonel of the 2nd Battalion, 40th Foot between 1799 and 1802.2 He was Commander-in-Chief of the Egypt in 1801.2 He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) in 1801.1 He was created 1st Baron Hutchinson of Alexandria and Knocklofty, co.
