     George Augustus Chichester, 5th Marquess of Donegall was born on 27 June 1822.¹ He was the son of Edward Chichester, 4th Marquess of Donegall and Amelia Spread Deane Grady.¹ He married, firstly, Mary Anne Williams Cobb, daughter of Edward Cobb, on 31 August 1865.¹ He married, secondly, Violet Gertrude Twining, daughter of Henry St. George Twining, on 23 December 1902.¹ He died on 13 May 1904 at age 81.¹
     George Augustus Chichester, 5th Marquess of Donegall gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the 6th Foot.¹ In 1889 he became bankrupt.¹ He succeeded to the title of 10th Viscount Chichester of Carrickfergus, co.      Mary Anne Williams Cobb was the daughter of Edward Cobb.¹ She married George Augustus Chichester, 5th Marquess of Donegall, son of Edward Chichester, 4th Marquess of Donegall and Amelia Spread Deane Grady, on 31 August 1865.¹ She died on 11 November 1901, without issue.¹
     From 31 August 1865, her married name became Chichester.¹ As a result of her marriage, Mary Anne Williams Cobb was styled as Marchioness of Donegall on 20 January 1889.

     Violet Gertrude Twining was invested as a Fellow, Royal Society of Arts (F.R.S.A.).¹ She was decorated with the award of Order of Mercy.¹ From 23 December 1902, her married name became Chichester.¹ As a result of her marriage, Violet Gertrude Twining was styled as Marchioness of Donegall on 23 December 1902.

     Edward Arthur Donald St. George Chichester, 6th Marquess of Donegall was born on 7 October 1903.¹ He was the son of George Augustus Chichester, 5th Marquess of Donegall and Violet Gertrude Twining.¹ He married, firstly, Gladys Jean Combe, daughter of Captain Christian Combe and Lady Jane Seymour Conyngham, on 24 April 1943.¹ He and Gladys Jean Combe were divorced in 1968.¹ He married, secondly, Maureen Scholfield, daughter of Major Geoffrey C. Scholfield, on 17 August 1968.¹ He died on 24 May 1975 at age 71 at Switzerland, without issue.¹
