     Sir Philip Crampton, 1st Bt. was born on 7 June 1777 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.3 He was the son of John Fiennes Twisleton Crampton and Anne Verner.1 He died on 10 June 1858 at age 81.3
     He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)1 He was appointed President of the Dublin College of Surgeons.3 He was created 1st Baronet Crampton [U.K.] in 1839. He was Surgeon-in-Ordinary to Queen Victoria in Ireland.3
