Sir George St. John Colthurst, 6th Bt. was born on 29 June 1850.1 He was the son of Sir George Conway Colthurst, 5th Bt. and Louisa Jane Jefferyes.2 He married Edith Jane Thomasina Morris, daughter of Captain Jonas Morris and Ellen Oliver, on 27 August 1881.1 He died on 25 December 1925 at age 75.1
He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow on the Hill, London, England.1 He gained the rank of officer in the service of the 43rd Foot.1 He succeeded to the title of 6th Baronet Colthurst, of Ardum, co. Cork [I., 1744] on 24 September 1878.1 He was Aide-de-Camp to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.).1
