Margaret Kennedy1

     Margaret Kennedy was the daughter of Alexander Kennedy.1 She married, firstly, William Wallace before 1540.1 She married, secondly, Gilbert Kennedy, 3rd Earl of Cassillis, son of Gilbert Kennedy, 2nd Earl of Cassillis and Lady Isabel Campbell, in 1540.1 She died circa 1596. Her will was proven (by probate) on 12 January 1596/97 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1
     Her married name became Wallace. After her marriage, Margaret Kennedy was styled as Countess of Cassillis in 1540.

     Mary Jones was born in 1781.2 She was the daughter of Robert Burnett Jones and Elizabeth Susannah Estwicke.1 She married James Everard Arundell, 9th Baron of Arundell of Wardour, son of Hon. James Everard Arundell and Ann Wyndham, on 18 September 1806 at St. George's Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, EnglandG.1 She died on 19 November 1853.1 She was buried on 25 November 1853 at Tisbury, Wiltshire, EnglandG. Her will was proven (by probate) in December 1853.1
     From 18 September 1806, her married name became Arundell.1 After her marriage, Mary Jones was styled as Baroness Arundell of Wardour on 4 December 1808.

     Sir Thomas Kennedy, Master of Cassillis was born between 1543 and 1558. He was the son of Gilbert Kennedy, 3rd Earl of Cassillis and Margaret Kennedy.2 He married Elizabeth Makgill, daughter of David Makgill and Elizabeth Forester, before 28 April 1579.3 He died on 11 May 1602, murdered.
     He was styled as Master of Cassillis between 1558 and 1602.1 He was appointed Knight in 1590.3 He lived at Culzean, Ayrshire, ScotlandG.1

     Elizabeth Makgill was the daughter of David Makgill and Elizabeth Forester.2,3 She married, firstly, Robert Logan, 7th of Restalrig, son of Robert Logan, 6th of Restalrig and Agnes Gray, before 1576.1,4 She and Robert Logan, 7th of Restalrig were divorced.4 She married, secondly, Sir Thomas Kennedy, Master of Cassillis, son of Gilbert Kennedy, 3rd Earl of Cassillis and Margaret Kennedy, before 28 April 1579.2 She married by contract, thirdly, William Mewe on 4 April 1605.2 She died in January 1622.2
     From before 1576, her married name became Logan. From before 28 April 1579, her married name became Kennedy. From 4 April 1605, her married name became Mewe.

     Sir John Kennedy was the son of Sir Alexander Kennedy and Agnes Kennedy.1 He married by contract, firstly, Ann Blair, daughter of John Blair of Blair, on 22 February 1645.2 He married, secondly, Hon. Margaret Hamilton, daughter of John Hamilton, 1st Lord Bargany and Lady Jean Douglas, in 1653.2 He died in 1665.2
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Ayr.2 He lived at Culzean, Ayrshire, ScotlandG.1
