Andrew Gray, 1st Lord Gray was born circa 1390.1 He was the son of Sir Andrew Gray of Broxmouth and Janet Mortimer.1 A contract for the marriage of Andrew Gray, 1st Lord Gray and Elizabeth Wemyss was signed on 31 August 1418 at Foulis, Perthshire, Scotland.2 He died circa 1469.1
In 1424 he was a hostage with the English for King James I.1 He was created 1st Lord Gray [Scotland] before 5 July 1445.1 He was Commissioner to England in 1449.1 He was Commissioner to England in 1451.1 He held the office of Master of the Household in 1452.1 He held the office of Warden of the Marches in 1459.1 He lived at Foulis, Perthshire, Scotland.1
