Jocosa Apsley was the daughter of Sir Alan Apsley.1 She married, firstly, Lister Blount, son of Sir Richard Blount.1 She married, secondly, William Ramsay, 1st Earl of Dalhousie, son of Sir George Ramsay, 1st Lord Ramsay of Dalhousie and Margaret Douglas, after April 1661.1 She died on 28 April 1663.1
Her married name became Blount.1 As a result of her marriage, Jocosa Apsley was styled as Countess of Dalhousie after April 1661. From after April 1661, her married name became Ramsay.1
