Maj.-Gen. Francis High Plowden was born on 15 August 1851.1 He was the son of Charles Joseph Plowden and Eliza Bryan.2 He married Isabel Fane, daughter of Major John Augustus Fane and Eleanor Thornhill, on 14 April 1885.1 He died on 24 August 1911 at age 60.1
