Lady Mary Augusta Pierrepont was born on 21 December 1865.1 She was the daughter of Sydney William Herbert Pierrepont, 3rd Earl Manvers and Georgiana Jane Elizabeth Fanny de Franquetot.1 She married John Peter Grant, 13th of Rothiemurchus on 4 April 1899.1 She died on 6 March 1917 at age 51.1

Sir Frederick William Louis Butterfield was born in 1858.2 He was the son of Henry Isaac Butterfield and Marie Louise Burke.2 He married, firstly, Jessie Kennedy Ridgway, daughter of Captain Jacob Ridgway, in 1888.2 He married, secondly, Hilda Johnstone, daughter of John Johnstone, in 1930.2
