     She graduated from Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1928 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ From 8 April 1938, her married name became Rawlings.¹

     George Shirley Rawlings was the son of Reverend George William Rawlings.¹ He married Margaret Elspeth Lindsay, daughter of Hon. Walter Patrick Lindsay and Ruth Henderson, on 8 April 1938.¹ He died on 8 June 1963 at Afghanistan^G, killed in a motor accident.¹
     He was with the Malayan Civil Service.¹

     Reverend George William Rawlings graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹

     Rodney Lindsay Rawlings was born on 25 January 1939.¹ He is the son of George Shirley Rawlings and Margaret Elspeth Lindsay.¹
