     Captain Rupert Cholmeley Yea Dering was born on 7 April 1883.2 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Edgar William Wallace Dering and Marianna Emily Harding.2 He married Helen Margaret FitzGerald, daughter of James FitzGerald, on 6 August 1914.1 He died on 18 April 1915 at age 32, from wounds received in action.2
     He fought in the First World War.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the King's Own Scottish Borderers.1

     Helen Margaret FitzGerald was the daughter of James FitzGerald.1 She married, firstly, Captain Rupert Cholmeley Yea Dering, son of Lt.-Col. Edgar William Wallace Dering and Marianna Emily Harding, on 6 August 1914.1 She married, secondly, Robert Brinsley FitzGerald, son of Robert John FitzGerald and Marion Harte, on 2 October 1920.1 She died on 19 June 1974.1
     From 6 August 1914, her married name became Dering. From 2 October 1920, her married name became FitzGerald.

     He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the General List.1 He was awarded the Chevalier, Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur.1 He was awarded the Order of the Crown of Italy.1 He was awarded the Order of Leopold of Belgium.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He was awarded the Croix de Guerre.1

     Lt.-Col. Sir Rupert Anthony Yea Dering, 12th Bt. was born posthumously on 17 October 1915. He was the son of Captain Rupert Cholmeley Yea Dering and Helen Margaret FitzGerald.2 He married Betty Bridgett Druce, daughter of Lt.-Col. Vere Powys Druce, on 17 April 1940.1 He died in 1975.3
     He was educated at Downside School, Bath, Somerset, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1945.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the King's Own Scottish Borderers.1 He succeeded as the 12th Baronet Dering, of Surrenden Dering, co. Kent [E., 1626] on 23 April 1958.2

     Her married name became Dering.
