     Sir Edward Dering, 5th Bt. was the son of Sir Cholmely Dering, 4th Bt. and Mary Fisher.1 He married, firstly, Mary Henshaw, daughter of Edward Henshaw, on 24 February 1728.1 He married, secondly, Mary Fotherby, daughter of Captain Charles Fotherby, on 11 September 1735.1 He died on 15 April 1762.1
     He lived at Surrenden, Kent, England.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Kent.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Dering, of Surrenden Dering, co. Kent [E., 1626] on 9 May 1711.1

     Mary Henshaw was the daughter of Edward Henshaw.1 She married Sir Edward Dering, 5th Bt., son of Sir Cholmely Dering, 4th Bt. and Mary Fisher, on 24 February 1728.1 She died in March 1735.1
     Her married name became Dering.

     Edward Henshaw was born in 1662.2 He married Elizabeth Roper, daughter of Edward Roper and Catherine Butler, in 1706.3,2 He died in 1726.2
     He held the office of Lord Mayor of London.2 He lived at Wellhall, Eltham, Kent, England.4 He was also known as Charles Henshaw.2

     Mary Fotherby is the daughter of Captain Charles Fotherby.1 She married, firstly, Henry Mompesson before 1735.1 She married, secondly, Sir Edward Dering, 5th Bt., son of Sir Cholmely Dering, 4th Bt. and Mary Fisher, on 11 September 1735.1
     From before 1735, her married name became Mompesson.1 Her married name became Dering.

     Sir Cholmely Dering, 4th Bt. was born on 23 June 1679.1 He was the son of Sir Edward Dering, 3rd Bt. and Elizabeth Cholmeley.1 He married Mary Fisher, daughter of Edward Fisher, on 17 July 1704.1 He died on 9 May 1711 at age 31, killed in a duel.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Kent.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Dering, of Surrenden Dering, co. Kent [E., 1626] on 24 June 1684.1
